“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1
Hear now the wonderful news of our Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed to you on this day—”whoever is in Christ is truly liberated!”
There is no longer any condemnation for those who are in Christ, who walk in the Spirit. When we surrender our lives to Christ, we are no longer bound by the law and sin; instead, we become free citizens of God’s kingdom. John 8:36 states, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
Brothers and sisters, do not allow the weight of your past to overwhelm you, and do not let Satan ensnare you with a guilty conscience. The Lord has forgiven you; therefore, forgive yourself and move forward. Walk in companionship with the Lord, guided by the Spirit. Romans 8:15 declares, “For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters, by which we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’.” This verse underscores the concept that as believers, we have been granted the Holy Spirit, enabling us to approach God as our loving Father. It juxtaposes the spirit of fear and bondage with the spirit of adoption, emphasizing the intimate relationship between believers and God.
Your righteousness comes through faith in Christ Jesus. The One who took on our sins so that we may become the righteousness of God in Him. You are no longer slaves, no longer condemned, but rather free citizens of the kingdom and the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Embrace and walk in your freedom!
Prayer
Starting from this day, I choose to embrace and walk in the freedom I have in Christ Jesus. I am liberated from all chains and bondage. I am no longer a slave. I am no longer burdened by guilt. I am no longer condemned! I refuse to be held captive by the harsh and condemning voice of the devil. In Jesus’ name, I declare that I am free in Christ Jesus. Amen.
