EMBRACING THE WHOLE WORD OF GOD

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11

Dear Christian, it is crucial to recognize that the Bible is the Word of God, encompassing its entirety. As believers, we are called to adhere to the entirety of God’s Word, rather than selectively choosing the parts that suit our preferences or seem easier to follow.

It is inappropriate to set the Bible aside when anger consumes us, seeking to justify our actions. Instead, we should remember the admonition in Ephesians 4:26, which states, “Be ye angry and sin not.” This verse reminds us to handle our anger in a righteous manner, aligning our actions with God’s standards.

Likewise, we must not ignore the Word when faced with opportunities to compromise our integrity for personal gain. Romans 1:32 warns against endorsing wrongdoing or finding pleasure in those who commit such acts. It highlights the importance of standing firm in our faith, even when tempted to veer from God’s truth.

The Word of God remains unchanging and relevant at all times. It does not bend or adapt to extreme circumstances to justify our actions. Acknowledging this truth should instill in us a sense of awe, as we realize the commitment and dedication required to live according to God’s standards. In this journey, we must earnestly seek His grace to empower us to walk in His ways faithfully.

By embracing the whole Word of God, we demonstrate our genuine devotion and trust in Him. Let us be steadfast in our adherence to His truth, allowing it to shape and guide our lives, even in the face of challenges and temptations.
