“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2Timothy 3:16
I’ve seen a recent trend among non-Christians where they realise that a particular moral virtue is actually the way to go, so they start to talk about how wonderful it is and how they’ve been wrongly doing other things.
My reaction has always been to shake my head slightly with the thought that many of these things that the world later realises and takes as a moral stance has been in the Bible since its inception. It reminds me of how privileged we are as Christians because we have the undiluted truth in our hands. A truth that takes the world a million years of trial, error, suffering, pain, wildness, and scars to still arrive at.
What then is the use of rebellion, dear Christian? What we have is such an absolute truth that even those who have proved stubborn still come to the realisation of it many years later. The Bible is a complete book that is entirely true because it was given to us by an INTENTIONAL GOD.
God’s intentionality is shown in the fact that He moved men to write things that had one single destination — Jesus. His wisdom is shown in the fact that the Bible not only covers the spiritual aspect of man but also the physical aspect.
Therefore, when a man follows the Word as it is written and by the Holy Spirit, he begins to win in all areas of life. He has an edge over those without the insight of divinity.
The end looks like this: The world eventually comes to the realisation that the truth we have abided by is actually the best way to live. So, do not take for granted what you have been given on a platter, dear Christian.
Prayer
Help me Lord, to submit to your Word that I might be complete and thoroughly furnished in every good work. Amen.
