Have you ever considered asking the Holy Spirit what to pray about? Have you ever asked Him how to pray, what posture to take, or what verse to confess?
There are times in a Christian’s life when it becomes hard to know what to pray about maybe because there is too much going on and words seem to fail you, or maybe because you are not just in the mood for prayer.
The message today is to remind you that the Spirit of God is also a quickening Spirit. That means He is well able to help you pray and take you into depths of the presence of God you have not experienced if you only ask.
Ask Him to teach you to pray. Take a moment to engage the Holy Spirit so you might know what is on the Father’s heart instead of going on and on in prayer. We must also note that the Holy Spirit’s help isn’t only available when we do not know what to say. Even in times you have so many requests, take a minute to ask for what is on the Father’s heart, and you will see that your burdens get rolled away even before you think to ask.
Prayer
Lord, what is that thing on your heart that you want me to know? I’m listening now, teach me to pray. Amen.
