“And this Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.”
Ezra 7:6
There is a dimension of life where effort alone is no longer the explanation for outcomes. Ezra was diligent, skilled, and prepared, but Scripture draws attention to something deeper: the hand of the Lord was upon him.
That phrase points to divine influence resting upon a human life in such a way that ordinary systems begin to respond in extraordinary ways. When God’s hand rests on a person, access is no longer purely negotiated—it is divinely arranged.
This is how favour operates. It is not merely human approval or social advantage; it is God positioning a life in such a way that help shows up at the right time, doors open without manipulation, and hearts are inclined without resistance.
Charge: The king granted Ezra’s request not simply because Ezra was persuasive, but because something unseen was already at work—God had gone ahead of him.

When the hand of God rests on a life, favour is no longer pursued; it begins to follow.
