“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

2 Corinthians 5:18-19

Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God restored the broken relationship between Himself and humanity. Sin had separated mankind from God, but through Christ, forgiveness and peace became available to all who believe. This reconciliation is entirely the work of God’s grace and love.

However, this message was not meant to remain with us alone. God has entrusted believers with the ministry of reconciliation—the responsibility of sharing the good news that people can be restored to God. As we live and speak for Christ, we become instruments through which others can hear and experience God’s saving grace.

Every believer is therefore called to represent Christ in a world that desperately needs peace with God. When we share the gospel and encourage others to return to God, we participate in His great mission of bringing people back into fellowship with Him.

Charge: Can God use you as His instrument for reconciliation?
