“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Matthew 28:19-20

The final words of Jesus before His ascension were a commission. In our opening Scripture, the Lord gave what we often call the Great Commission—a divine mandate that stretches across generations: “Go teach all nations, baptising and teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” This command was not to a select few, but was entrusted to every believer who bears His name.

Notice that the instruction is both outward and inward. We are commanded to go—movement, action, intentional engagement. But we are also commanded to teach them to observe—discipleship, formation, and obedience. And every nation, tribe, and tongue remains within the heartbeat of this mandate.

Salvation is a gift, but it also carries responsibility. To know Christ is to represent Him. To experience grace is to extend it. You are not saved to sit but sent to serve. Your workplace, your neighbourhood, your generation— these are part of your “all nations.”

Charge: The authority behind the mandate is matched by the assurance of His abiding presence. So, will you obey the divine mandate?
