“For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.”
2 Corinthians 13:8
There’s something about believers that cannot be denied: it is the guidance of God’s Spirit that gently brings us back to our place when we err. Frankly, it’s not always expressed in what we may term “Simple,” but it’s something undeniable that God is very much intentional about bringing His own safely home.
We might have found ourselves in a situation where an offence committed by others, which leaves them unscathed, becomes a regrettable action when repeated by us, as believers. Others may have been engaging in examination malpractice for a long time without ever being caught, until that critical day you decide to try it. In fact, you will end up causing trouble for others. Consider a lady whose innocence and pride are preserved because she is a believer, until the very first day she gives in to fornication under pressure, and as a result, she becomes pregnant or contracts a disease.
These things are not mere coincidences, rather, they’re signages defining our life to have been given out to a deity up above. And so, God will do everything to make you realise you’re treading a different path that won’t permit you to live carelessly. And if you try fighting it forcefully, you’re likely to wallow in guilt, forever.
Charge: You are God’s own, so live a life befitting of Him.
