“Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.”

Acts 8:4

When persecution scattered the early believers in Jerusalem, it looked like a setback. Homes were lost, routines were broken, and fear filled the air. Yet Acts 8:4 tells a surprising story: “Those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.” What was meant to silence the gospel only spread it further.

Imagine Philip, stepping into Samaria, among people once despised and avoided. He carried no pulpit, no title, only the message burning in his heart. As he spoke Christ in every nook and cranny of the streets, joy replaced despair, and lives were transformed.

God’s truth is not meant to be confined to comfortable spaces. It is meant for workplaces, conversations, journeys, and unexpected places. Often, God uses disruptions to push His message beyond our routines into territories we would never choose on our own. Like those early believers, we carry more than our belongings wherever we go — we carry the Word, and when we do, God ensures it reaches places we could never imagine.

Charge: Let the Word find its way into every corner through you.
