“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.”
Genesis 17:1-2
When Mr Ade turned 60, he felt his life had slowed down. His mates had built houses, established companies, and travelled abroad. He looked at himself and sighed, “Is there anything left for me?” But one evening, he read Genesis 17. Abraham was 99 when God renewed His covenant with him. That Scripture shook him. It was as if God whispered, “You’re not late. You’re just beginning.”
So Mr Ade started walking in obedience. He prayed more, aligned his life with God’s instructions, and began a long-forgotten project: writing the book God told him about 20 years earlier. That book eventually became a bestseller, blessing thousands and opening doors he never imagined.
It wasn’t his age that mattered, it was the covenant-keeping God backing him. When you walk with God, no season of life can stop His promises. His covenant does not expire with age or circumstance.
Charge: Return to obedience. God still has covenants to fulfiling you.
