“Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee:”

Zephaniah 3:19a

There is a restoration for every affliction that rises against us, according to the Word of God. Scripture shows clearly that God does not tempt anyone with evil. But when challenges come, they strengthen our faith and reveal God’s power to save. And after He brings us out, His plan is that we recover all that was lost in the process, because it is not His will that anything—lives, blessings, peace, or properties—be permanently lost (1 Samuel 30:19).

As believers, we must come into the understanding of what God has made available through Jesus Christ. Trials may sometimes be so intense that they take the people most dear to our hearts. In such painful moments, what does restoration look like? God promises a kind of peace and joy so deep and comforting that even the presence of our most cherished ones cannot replace it. This is the divine exchange He offers His children.

Job stands as a great example. Though he lost everything, God restored him and gave him double honour for his shame. Naomi, who once called herself Marah because of sorrow, was later filled with joy when God restored her. No matter what you have lost, know that God has you in mind. Seek His face, and you will experience His restoration.

Charge: In your trying period, never lose hope. Ask for God’s mercy and strength, and He will restore everything stolen or lost.
