“Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.”

Nehemiah 13:14

Nehemiah’s heart was deeply stirred for God’s house. Even after the walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt, he continued to labour tirelessly to restore true worship and order among the people. However, in the quiet of his heart, Nehemiah whispered a humble prayer—“Remember me, O Lord.”

This was not a plea for human applause or recognition. It was a longing to be remembered by the One who truly sees and rewards every act of faithfulness. Men can forget your good deeds but God’s memory never fails. He records every service rendered, and every sacrifice made in His name.

When your efforts seem unnoticed or your faithfulness is overlooked, take comfort in Nehemiah’s prayer. God is not unjust to forget your labour of love (Hebrews 6:10).

Charge: Keep serving with a pure heart; His remembrance is greater than any human reward.
