“How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince’s daughter!”

Song of Solomon 7:1a

One thing every bride has in common is preparing with great care for her wedding day. Her accessories: gown, shoes, jewels, and every detail of her appearance are chosen to reflect the love and honour she feels for her groom. In the same way, as children of the Most High, we are the Bride of Christ, called to adorn ourselves for the King of kings, not merely with outward beauty, but with the inner garments of holiness, love, and righteousness.

The Lord looks at us and calls us beautiful when we are clothed in His salvation and righteousness. Our “feet with shoes” speak of readiness: ready to walk in His ways, to share His gospel of peace, and to go wherever He sends us. It is not the cost of earthly garments that makes us radiant, but the splendour of a heart transformed by His Spirit.

Beloved, your King delights in you. He has clothed you with the robe of righteousness and crowned you with lovingkindness. Each act of obedience is another jewel in the beautiful adornment He sees upon you. Live today with the assurance that you are chosen, cherished, and wonderfully prepared for the day you will stand before Him in eternal glory.

Charge: When we put on Christ, we become royal daughters and sons, dressed in grace and majesty that the world cannot give.
