“Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.”
Deuteronomy 33:25
Life is a journey filled with both smooth paths and rugged terrains. Some days are bright and easy, while others feel like climbing steep mountains or walking through thorns. Yet, God gives us a promise in this verse: He equips us with “shoes of iron and brass” to walk victoriously no matter how difficult the road may be.
Iron and brass represent strength, durability, and protection. Just as sturdy shoes protect a traveller from sharp stones, God equips His children with divine strength to overcome life’s challenges. He does not promise a trouble-free path but promises unshakable strength for every step.
Walking in His power means relying not on our own ability but on the sufficiency of Christ. When we face trials, weariness, or opposition, we can stand firm, knowing our strength is renewed daily.
Charge: God has equipped us daily with strength, courage, and endurance to overcome every challenge before us.
