“And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.”

Exodus 32:1

Seasons of waiting come in different forms and vary in timing, but only the will of God for our lives lasts longer, giving us unending peace and joy. In today’s verse, we observed that the Israelites were waiting on God for clarity and impatience took the one representimg their leader .

Patience is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). A person willing to wait can be said to be patient, and it takes total trust, faith and hope in God to be patient while waiting on Him to fulfil His promises in our lives.

Impatience means lacking patience, restlessness, intolerance of delays, and anxiety. Beloved, we should beware of the deceit of impatience while waiting to fulfil God’s promises. God wants us to be deeply rooted in Him while we patiently wait on Him. Seasons of waiting can be tough times but if we persevere, God’s glory is revealed through our lives.

Charge: Brethren, do not be eager to begin something not from God’s directives because you might eventually disrupt God’s plans for your life. Wait on the Lord and He shall strengthen your heart.
