“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 3:11

It is impossible to have two different structural foundations on the same spot; the end result will always be damage, which is a risk to lives and properties. The proper way remains identifying a portion of land, and laying the foundation of the kind of structure envisaged. This way, builders can build without complications and with minimal risks.

Likewise, the journey of faith is such that it does not support a double standard of living. No one sets up a foundation in Christ Jesus and ends up leaving out a room for Satan in his compartment. Christ is the bedrock of faithful and righteous living; He paid with His life. No other salvation can be more genuine and authentic than the very one which Christ pioneered.

Builders should watch what they build, with what they build, and for what they build. However, if there is any faulty foundation, the scriptural solution is to demolish and start the building afresh.

Charge: The durability of every Christian faith is in how solidly grounded the foundation is, for it shall be proven by the storm. Luke 6:47-49.
