“And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.”

John 14:29

There are moments in life when God gives us promises that seem distant, unclear, or even impossible. When Jesus told His disciples in advance what would happen, it was not just to inform them, it was to prepare their hearts for faith.

Faith is trusting in advance that God’s Word will come to pass. The uncertainties of life, coupled with the long-awaited promises, are tendered with the reminder that He has already spoken. His Word never fails. He prepares us ahead of time so that when the promise unfolds, we will know it was Him all along.

Whether you are waiting on healing, provision, restoration, or direction, don’t be discouraged by delay. Go back to what He said. Revisit the Scriptures. Recall the whispered assurances in prayer where He told you what will happen so you may believe when it does.

Charge: Believe His Word. It is your anchor at all times.
