“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 12:2

There is a constant battle for our hearts, minds and attention. The world pressures us to think, speak, and act according to its ever-shifting standards. But Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform to this world.

To conform means to blend in. But God is not calling us to blend in; rather, He is calling us to stand out, to separate ourselves from every filthiness. The world celebrates selfishness, pride, materialism, compromise and everything evil, but as believers, we are not to adopt these ways, no matter how popular or appealing they may seem.

Instead, we are called to be transformed. This transformation is a deep, inward renewal that begins in the mind. It happens when we feed on God’s Word, meditate on it, and allow the Holy Spirit to reshape our thoughts and desires. When our minds are renewed, our choices change. Our priorities shift. We begin to live out God’s will with clarity and conviction. A changed mind leads to a changed life.

Charge: Every day, we must choose; will you conform or will you be transformed?
