“And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.”

Revelation 19:5

Our opening verse encourages believers to examine their lives and ensure they are actively praising God. It prompts reflection on whether our lives are characterised by joyful service and worship or by self-centred pursuits.

It also reminds us that God’s victory over evil is a cause for celebration and that we should participate in that celebration by praising Him at all times and in every season.

Don’t let what you are passing through or your current predicament deny you of thanking and appreciating God. Being alive alone is enough reason to thank Him. Being healthy and not spending money on sicknesses is another reason to be thankful. Thank Him for what you have while waiting for what you don’t have.

Charge: Cultivate the habit of giving thanks at all times.
