“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”

Luke 16:10

God often tests our faithfulness in small responsibilities before entrusting us with greater ones. Many desire big opportunities, recognition, and influence, but God watches how we handle the little things, our daily tasks, small acts of kindness, and hidden moments of obedience.

David was anointed to be king, but before stepping into that role, he faithfully tended his father’s sheep (1 Samuel 16:11-13). Joseph ruled Egypt, but first, he was faithful as a servant and prisoner (Genesis 39:2-4, 22-23). Even Jesus, before beginning His public ministry, grew in wisdom and stature, obediently serving in His earthly family duties (Luke 2:51-52).

Faithfulness in little things is a test of character. If we are careless with what seems insignificant, our words, habits, or commitments, how can we be trusted with greater things? God promotes those who prove diligent in small assignments, and promotion comes from faithfulness in the unseen, disregarded little things and actions. When we are good stewards of our time, resources, and responsibilities, He entrusts us with more. Stay consistent, and in due time, God will enlarge your territory.

Charge:Examine your life: Are you faithful in the small things? Are you diligent in your work, honest in your dealings, and committed to your daily walk with God?
