“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
Isaiah 30:21
Hearing God’s voice is an ability God desires for all of us, not just a select few deemed “spiritually elite.” God is not a respecter of persons, meaning every one of us has the potential to hear from Him. Since the crucifixion, the veil between humanity and God has been torn open, granting us access to the Holy of Holies and an intimate relationship with Him.
Our sensitivity to His voice is linked to the strength of our relationship with Him. When we earnestly seek God’s direction, His will becomes evident to us. It starts with recognizing His voice amidst many others that may beckon us towards worldly paths. Remember, only one voice belongs to your loving Shepherd—Jesus.
Charge: As you go through today, know that He delights in speaking to you. Stay close to Him, and listen with your heart for His loving call!
