”Jesus answered, neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”

John 9:3

Sometimes, the difficult situations in our lives are the same platforms God intends to display His glory. Thinking of this, a popular mantra used by a film production company here in Nigeria comes to mind. It reads: “We are nothing but pencils in the hands of the Creator”.

The question every one of us should ask ourselves is this: Have I truly given my life to God or am I just a believer? It is not enough that we receive the new birth, rather we must offer our bodies in turn as a living sacrifice, holy and accepted for His glory.

God is requesting further that every one of us surrender our lives for His glory, just like the Apostles in the book of Acts ‭5‬:‭41, ”The apostles left the high council rejoicing that God had counted them worthy to suffer disgrace for the name of Jesus”‭‭ (‭NLT)‬‬.

Therefore, our prayer today is that each person reading this receives the fortitude to lay down their life for God’s glory. So that even when we face challenges, we won’t give up or blame God, but rather rejoice that God is using our lives to exhibit His glory as there is no greater joy than this.

Charge: It is one thing to say I have given my life to Christ, have you truly given it to him?

Have a blessed weekend.
