“For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?”
1 Timothy 3:5
When Jesus was here on earth, we read of how He catered and cared for the people. Jesus was so compassionate that He wept not because His friend, Lazarus died, but because He saw Mary and others weep.
Before the death of Jesus, He asked Peter a paramount question. He asked if Peter loves Him and then asked him to watch over and take care of His sheep. This shows how important the church is to God.
Notwithstanding, charity, they say begins from home. Whosoever that is not able to manage the affairs of his home cannot shepherd God’s people rightly. Home (family) was the first ministry God established on earth. The first criterion for anyone to take up leadership position in the church is the management of the Home. This shows us how particular God is about our homes.
Therefore, as believers, our primary assignment is to our home. Whosoever is able to rule his home well will be efficient in leading the church. You can’t forsake your home and expect your outside ministry to prosper. Remember, God cannot be mocked. Return home and make things right, today!
