“In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”

1 John 3:10

In the above scripture, it is made clear who belongs to God and who belongs to the devil. While many people claim to be children of God, true children are those who genuinely follow Him. As the scripture above states, those who consistently act in righteousness are recognised as God’s children, while those who engage in evil are associated with the devil.
The character and influence of God are evident in the lives of His children, just as the devil’s influence is seen in the lives of his offspring. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” So, whose voice are you listening to? Whom are you following?
You may be able to deceive others for a while, but you cannot deceive God, for He knows His own. You cannot continue to live according to your own ways and principles, nor can you continue to exhibit the characteristics of the devil. A time will come when the Son of Man will separate the wheat from the tares. Examine yourself now: Whose voice are you obeying? Make a conscious choice regarding whose behaviour you emulate.
The good news is that Jesus still loves you, and He is always available to accept you as His if you are willing to walk with Him, even if you have made mistakes. Make the decision now and come to the One who can illuminate your path.
Prayer
1. Oh Lord, please give me the grace to continuously walk in the light of God, so much that nothing will hinder me.
2. I possess the nature and life of God. I walk in His nature and life, and I will consistently display His nature and life. So help me God. Amen.
