“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
Romans 10:14-15
Mr. Ade was the only child of separated parents. Raised by his mother, a devoted Christian, he grew up resenting his father—blaming him for neglect, indifference, and a lack of care. This bitterness deeply strained their father-son relationship. However, through the refining work of the Holy Spirit, Mr Ade eventually found the strength to forgive. Reconciliation followed, and they began building a healthier bond together.
Two years later, Mr Ade’s father passed away. His emotions were mixed—sadness because forgiveness had come late, leaving them little time to truly commune; yet joy because his father had repented and embraced salvation after hearing the gospel from his own son.
Beloved, do not delay in reaching out to souls. Jesus is counting on us to share His love and truth. Allow forgiveness and love supersede revenge or hatred for an offender. Let your heart always yearn for winning souls.
Charge: Believers must see themselves as “sent”—whether formally as missionaries or informally in daily life. Joy comes when souls are saved, but urgency is needed because time is limited.
