“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18:7-8
Mrs Light was a diligent Chief Operating Officer, who carried out her responsibilities conscientiously. Yet, some colleagues felt she was “overdoing it” and conspired against her. Their plot led the Manager to suspend her, accusing her of being “too religious” in her approach to work.
With a heavy heart, Mrs Light took the suspension letter and laid it on the altar. She cried out to God for help, for justice, and for restoration. Though she was told she would be recalled after two weeks, no call came. Still, she did not panic. Instead, she returned to God in prayer, refusing to compromise even when others advised her to bribe the Manager.
Time passed, and the company that suspended her fell into massive debt and eventually shut down. But God was not silent. Mrs Light received an international job offer—ten times greater than her previous salary. What looked like a setback became a divine setup for promotion.
Charge: When God seems slow, let us trust His timing. His justice may seem delayed, but it is never denied.
