“And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

Acts 13:39

To be justified means to be declared righteous, acquitted, and released from condemnation. It is a legal term, speaking of a verdict pronounced in your favour. In Christ, the charges have been answered, the record has been cleared, and the case has been closed.

The law could reveal sin, but it could not remove guilt. Through Jesus, however, everyone who believes is justified from all things. This means we are declared righteous, cleared of every charge, and released from condemnation.

What effort and rules could not accomplish, grace has completed through faith. Our freedom is not earned by works, but received by believing in Christ’s finished work. In Him, the past is forgiven, guilt is removed, and condemnation no longer has power.

Charge: You are not trying to be accepted; you are already accepted in Christ, and this means we must always strive to live a holy life.
