“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
1 Peter 1:25
The word of God is dynamic in nature, flexible, yet unbreakable. The performance of God’s word is deeply rooted in God as an omnipotent God. Laws may change, and compromises may be reached soon enough, based on circumstances, to fit into a current system, but not the word of God.
Why it is more expedient for us to learn about the firmness of God’s word at this time is to understand that the potency of the written and the spoken word of God remains unquestionable, regardless of the age and time we find ourselves in.
The standard of the word of God 50 years ago hasn’t diminished, nor would it in years to come if Jesus tarries. If He has said it, He will do it. The law is unbendable. The Scripture is the only written book that accommodates prophecies of years to come, without needing to be updated, through the several eras of modernisation we may come to experience.
Charge: Though opinions may differ, and knowledge may progress, due to the abundance of revelation made available at this time, the Scripture remains a profitable book for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. Make the Word of God your basis.
