“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
Isaiah 40:8
How does it feel to know there’s something that remains unchangeable through space and time? Men would become history in no time, possession continuously changes hands, seasons won’t cease to transition, grass withers, and flowers would fade.
Life has been structured in such a way that it flows with time. The entirety of creation is subjected to the passage of time; hence, change is constant at every stratum. Nevertheless, the word of God remains deeply rooted, firm, true, unquestionable, immoveable, and consistent in every season because the word of God is God Himself (John 1:1-5).
No matter how tiny it seems, every word of God, whether spoken or written, would always prevail, regardless of how long it takes to come into manifestation. The word of God being eternal, when held up in one’s heart, is capable of keeping anyone from falling, forever. When His word is alive in our hearts, we’d be eternally quickened after Him. Curses pronounced can only last for a few minutes, but the word of God, which causes transformation, alone, would be crowned forever.
Charge: God does not fail, and neither does His Word. Therefore, trust it fully and live by it. (Matthew 24:35).
