“And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.”
Isaiah 12:4-5
A woman strolled to the well, as usual, to get water needed for daily usage. She met with a stranger at the well, who engaged her in a deep conversation. Their discussion covered the stranger’s request for water which led him to ask for her husband. Alas! This woman had been married to five husbands and the man she was living with was not even her husband.
The marital issue of the woman didn’t hinder her joy for that day. The joy this woman received was overflowing so much that she declared it among her people: “Come see a man who knew all about the things I did, who knows me inside and out.”
You might be that woman (person) carrying heavy burdens in your heart, but be encouraged, joy is coming today. Jesus knows what bothers us, and He is interested in replacing them all with “Joy”.
Charge: When you choose Jesus, unlimited joy flows in and through you.
