“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”
John 17:3
Salvation is more than escaping hell or securing a place in heaven. It is about knowing God personally. In His prayer before going to the cross, Jesus revealed that eternal life is not just a future reward but a present relationship: “that they might know Thee.”
To know God is not merely to have a knowledge of Him, but to experience Him intimately — to walk with Him, love Him, and obey Him daily. This relationship transforms our hearts, shapes our desires, and fills our lives with divine purpose. True salvation brings us into fellowship with the Father through Jesus Christ, making us sons and daughters of God.
Salvation, therefore, is not a one-time event, but a lifelong journey of transformation. It is a continuous process of becoming like Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a life that pleases God. Beloved, do not settle for a shallow experience of salvation. Pursue a deeper knowledge of Christ through prayer, the Word, and obedience. The more you know Him, the more you will experience true peace, joy, and eternal life — not just in heaven, but here and now.
Charge: Is your relationship with God growing daily, or has it become a routine of religion without intimacy?
