“For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.”

Isaiah 25:4

When life’s fiercest moments come and our strength fails, our God steps in as the Great Succorer, lifting us from weariness. He comes in when everyone else steps back—to give comfort to the broken and shelter to the heart battered by life’s tempests.

The help of God is crucial in these evil days. When the storm rages, He becomes your refuge. When fear presses in, He becomes your peace. When pressure mounts, He becomes your protection. Like a shade from the burning sun, His presence shields you from what could have consumed you.

Maybe you’ve been trying to hold it all together on your own, but God is saying, “Let Me be your strength.” Will you allow Him?

Charge: Rest in God’s care, and find your calm in His unchanging love.
