“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.”

Psalm 62:11

While mediating on our opening Scripture, I could hear David rephrasing, “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this,” as “God said it, and I have heard it clearly and repeatedly.” In other words, this is a settled matter. No kingdom, force of nature, or spiritual adversary can compete with the Almighty. His word stands firm, His decrees cannot fail, and His power has no equal.

When you face situations that seem out of control: whether it is sickness, financial strain, political unrest, or personal loss, remember that God’s authority is final. What He permits has purpose, and what He declares will surely come to pass.

What situation in your life feels out of control today? Bring it under the authority of God to whom all power belongs. His sovereignty guarantees that nothing enters your life without passing through His loving hands.

Charge: Surrender that fear, release that anxiety, and declare with confidence: “Lord, all power belongs to You.”
