“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
Philippians 2:7-8
Jesus Christ is the perfect model of humility, obedience, and sacrificial love. Though He is the Lord of all, He chose not to cling to His glory. Instead, He laid it aside and took on the form of a servant, living among us in simplicity.
His humility was unmatched. He did not demand recognition or status but willingly served others. He showed that true greatness is not in being served, but in serving.
As followers of Christ, we are called to live by this same example. That means laying aside pride, serving others with love, and walking in complete obedience to God, even when it costs us something. When we humble ourselves, God lifts us in due time, just as Christ was exalted after His sacrifice.
Charge: Lay aside pride, and serve others with love just as Christ demonstrated.
