“[13] And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. 14] For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.”
1 Kings 17:13-14
Have you ever thought about God meeting the needs of others as you who daily look up to Him for provisions? The consistency we have observed over the years is worth discussing. This experience mirrors that of Elijah’s. Initially, it was the food provided by the ravens and the water from the brook during a time when the nation faced a complete shutdown—a state of emergency where money lost its value.
Elijah received provision from the Zarephath woman, resulting in another miracle. The last meal, which she and her son intended to eat before parting from the world, ultimately remained unfinished. What a God!
Whoever would trust God with his life can never run out of supply. God’s people bank on heaven’s resources to make them wealthy and healthy, far beyond the earth’s.
Charge: When you operate on heaven’s account, you will not want.
