Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
Our verse for today declares that there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. The name of Jesus Christ stands unparalleled in its power to redeem humanity.
We often watch some Nigerian movies where we see demons and other hosts of hell bowing at the mention of the name Jesus. We see the enemies of the Lord ending up in confusion at the mention of the name Jesus. This should tell you how powerful the name is. It doesn’t only rescue, it redeems, speaks and intercedes whenever anyone genuinely call upon the name.
To effectively use His name, ask yourself: Is Jesus at the centre of my beliefs and actions? If your answer is no, consider how you can deepen your relationship with Him. Think about how you can tell others about His name. This could be through your words, and actions.
Charge: Call upon His name at all times. Jesus saves, restores, heals, energises, and delivers wholeheartedly.
