“Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.”

Jeremiah 14:15

In today’s world, there are many so-called kingdom voices, but the underlying question is: who is behind those voices? Are they from God or the accuser of the believers? It is important to know who sent that voice you are always listening to—be it through music, books, films, etc.

The prophets in Jeremiah’s day spoke boldly in the name of the Lord. They gave words of comfort and peace, but God had not sent them. Their message was not birthed in obedience or divine instruction; it was rooted in deception, self-preservation, or popularity. They became victims of the very calamity they claimed would not come.

It’s dangerous to carry a message God didn’t give you. It’s destructive to run with a vision God never showed you. And it’s deceptive to speak on behalf of the God you haven’t heard from. When you’re truly sent by God, He backs you. His presence goes with you. His authority speaks through you. But when you send yourself, you’re left to face what comes alone.

Charge: A false assignment always leads to a real consequence. Who sent you?
