“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
1 Peter 4:17-18
As believers, we are reminded that judgment begins with the household of God. This sobering truth calls us to live lives that honour Him, knowing that our actions will be scrutinised. God’s judgment is not limited to the unsaved; it also extends to His children.
God’s judgment serves as a refining fire, purifying His people and correcting our paths. We are saved by grace, but our actions demonstrate our faith.
If the righteous are saved with difficulty, what will become of the godless and the sinner? This question challenges us to examine our lives and turn away from sins.
Charge: We cannot continue in sin that grace may abound. His judgement will begin from you and me.
