“Do all things without murmurings and disputings.”

Philippians 2:14

Murmuring is an expression of dissatisfaction that often leads to disunity and hindered progress. Imagine assigning a task to someone, only for them to carry it out grudgingly—how disappointing that would feel! This is how God views our attitudes when we serve Him or others with complaints or disputes.

The Message Version simplifies it: “Do everything readily and cheerfully—no bickering, no second-guessing allowed!” It reminds us that as children of God, our service, worship, work, and relationships should be marked by joy and readiness.

Wherever you are and in whatever you do, let your attitude reflect Christ’s humility. Serve, love, and contribute without grumbling, knowing that your efforts are ultimately unto God. By doing so, you inspire others and bring glory to God’s name.

Charge: Approach every task with a willing heart and a cheerful spirit, remembering that your work is unto the Lord, not man. Let your attitude reflect gratitude and love.

Have a graceful week.
