“The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.”
Zephaniah 1:14,18
There is a day of reckoning, justice, and truth that Zephaniah paints for us. A sobering picture of this day shows that it will be a swift, intense, and unavoidable moment where even the strongest will tremble. No title, wealth, or fame will matter on that day. The only thing that will matter is: “Will you be saved on that day?”
The world is no longer serious about righteousness and thus delays repentance. But the Scripture remind us that the day is near. The day will come suddenly. However, it is not a question of ‘if’ but ‘when’. The urgency is real!
Do you truly know Christ and are you walking in His ways? There is mercy now, but there will be judgment on that day. God’s patience is not a license to delay—it is grace calling you to repent.
Charge: Wake your heart to the urgency of Christ’s return. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you to live each day prepared and anchored in Him.
