“Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.”
Jeremiah 14:14
In a world filled with diverse voices and messages, it’s vital to discern truth from falsehood. False prophets can lead us astray, causing confusion, harm, and spiritual damage. They often masquerade as messengers of God, but their teachings and actions reveal their true intentions.
As believers, we must be vigilant and discerning, knowing God’s Word and testing every spirit. We can identify false prophets by their fruits—their teachings, actions, and motivations.
Those who contradict Scripture, prioritise personal gain, or lead people away from God’s truth are not of God. Do not fall prey to such wolves in sheep’s clothing. Be watchful and prayerful because the accuser of the brethren walks to and fro seeking whom he will devour, and he can come to you through false prophets.
Charge: The Lord has enlightened the eyes of your understanding and granted you the Spirit of discernment, empowering you to recognise and reject every false teacher. Hence, don’t fall!
