“The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.”

Psalm 145:18

Have you ever felt like God is far away? Like He’s not listening or not caring about your struggles? But the truth is, God is always near. He’s near to comfort, guide, and empower all who call on His name.

But what does it mean to “call on Him in truth?” It means being honest with God about our struggles, our fears, and our doubts. It means acknowledging our sinfulness and our need for His forgiveness and mercy. It also means trusting in His goodness and His promises, even when we don’t understand what’s happening at that stage of our lives.

As believers, we have the incredible privilege of prayer. We can come to God at any time and pour out our hearts to Him. And the promise of Psalm 145:18 is that He will be near to us, listening and responding to our cries.

Charge: Call on our Heavenly Father at all times, even when you don’t feel like He is beside you because he never disappoints nor arrives late.
