“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”
Psalm 34:19
Life is full of trials. However, in the midst of these trials and affliction, we can find hope in the
unwavering faithfulness of the Lord. The first thing to observe in this verse is that even the righteous are not immune to troubles, but then it quickly reassures us that the Lord is our ultimate deliverer from all afflictions.
When we face difficult situations, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and consumed by fear and doubt. However, the promise in this verse gives us the assurance that despite the troubles we face, the Lord is with us.
In times of affliction, we can look to the Lord as our source of hope and strength. We can be comforted because our God is a deliverer and has the power to bring us out of our trials. As we lean on Him, we can find peace and encouragement, knowing that our hope is not in our own abilities, but in the unending faithfulness of God.
Charge: Brethren, rejoice for Christ has overcome all afflictions.
