“we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
1 John 4:1
In a world filled with selfishness and evil, many people wonder if it’s truly possible to love one another. As believers, we shouldn’t struggle with this thought because we have been empowered to love.
However, we must first understand that love, from God’s perspective, is different, higher, and greater than what the world defines as love. Love is more than mere affection—God is love, and through His sacrifice and Spirit in us, we have received the very essence of love.
The Bible tells us that God’s love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. With this understanding, we realize that true love can only come from receiving God’s heart through the Holy Spirit. Only with the help of the Holy Spirit can we love as God does, not as the world does. Through His power, we can love everyone, regardless of our differences.
Charge: Loving from the heart of God is made possible through the Holy Spirit in you.
