There are people whose excuse for not believing that God loves us is because of the many evil things that happen in this world. What they fail to realise is that the devil is the prince/god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4, John 12:31). The world is full of wickedness (1 John 5:19), and the fact that we are able to thrive as Christians in this world is a testament to the fact that God is indeed protecting and keeping us.
However, it remains a fact that wickedness and evil exist in this world, and when evil befalls us, it sometimes becomes hard to understand why—especially if you live a holy life. But if you’re a child of God, this is where things are different for you. The evil things of this world may come near your door, but with Jesus, they can never consume you (John 16:33).
Remember that God is fighting for you, and even in times of trouble, He knows how to take that trouble and work it all out for your good.
Charge: God is not sleeping on your matter. He is an expert at bringing beauty out of ashes.
