“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

Romans 10:14

There is a difference between knowing about a person and believing in that person. Just knowing or having knowledge of Christ based on what you heard without believing and putting your trust in Him, doesn’t work well in the kingdom of God.
To believe in Jesus means to have faith in Him, His power, and all His abilities. You must believe that He is a God of all possibilities.

You must trust Him totally without any iota of doubt. Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”. To grow in faith, you must hear the word of God. One important way of hearing the word of God, apart from listening to sermons is by studying the Word of God.

As you feed your body with physical food to grow and be nourished, you must also feed your soul with the Word of God to grow in faith. When you study the Word of God consistently, you supernaturally grow in believing in God. And when you believe in Him, you will desire to tell people about Him. However, all of these can only be achieved by the help of the Holy Spirit. As flesh can not take you far. May God help us to surrender totally to Him. Amen.

Confession: I won’t just stop at knowing Christ by the things I’ve heard, I will keep believing and trusting in His word.

Further Study: Romans 10:1-21
