“He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.”
Proverbs 12:11
There are two categories of people in the world today: those who work hard and diligently to build wealth the right way. The second category of people believe that doing an honest and decent job is a waste of time but they desire quick riches. However, they are wrong.
This scripture tells us that hard work brings sustainable riches. God says that He will bless the work of our hands, but He can only bless it if what you do is in accordance with His will. He can’t bless laziness or any work or business that doesn’t glorify His name. Though you may wonder that there are many people whose works do jot glorify God, yet they are making it big. You’re right, yet wrong. That people are doing unrighteous work and they are wealthy doesn’t mean God’s hand is in it. Even the Bible admonishes us never to envy the sinners.
Paul, the Apostle, who functioned in the five ministry offices, was a tentmaker. He admonished believers in his days to work hard so they could take care of themselves and also help others. Don’t be deceived by the trend of quick riches. According to Proverbs 21:5, their end is poverty, and I know you don’t want to end in poverty.
Charge: Be focused, determined, and excellent in what you do. Your promotion will come.
