“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Matthew 4:4

Imagine yourself after a long day at work, coming home and not being able to eat anything because of a fault with your cookware. Somehow, you go for four days without eating anything, and you faint at work and have to be rushed to the hospital.

This scenario is probably not a plausible one, because even though your cookware was faulty, you would find a way to eat even if it means ordering in, buying a snack, or visiting a friend’s house. What that means is that we understand how vital food is to our bodies, and we are willing to go the extra mile to ensure we do not starve.

How much more your Spirit Man? Do you not know that starvation has the same effects on your Spirit as it has on your body? Why aren’t you going the extra mile to ensure your Spirit is fed?

Your Spirit is on the verge of death if it’s not being consistently fed. And the only way to feed it is by taking in the Word of God continuously, being in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit, our most senior partner, shunning the things that feed the flesh, and exercising your Spirit through prayer.

Charge: Remember, what applies to your flesh also applies to your Spirit. Intentionally feed your Spirit Man.

Stay spiritually fed.
