“And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?”
Nehemiah 4:2
Have you heard those belittling words from your mockers? Have men despised you because you appear helpless? The God who fought for Nehemiah and his people will fight for you.
God is always available to turn every state of mockery into miracles. There are a lot of biblical references that reveal God’s power to turn unpleasant situations around for the children of God. “And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.” 1 Samuel 17:10. Goliath mocked the children of Israel but God raised His anointed, David, to shut him up.
“So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.” 1 Samuel 17: 50. By the help of God, as you study today’s devotional, you will prevail over everyone mocking you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
