“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.”

Matthew 14:30

Today’s bible passage shows about how Peter took a step of faith by walking on the water when he saw Jesus do the same. Unfortunately, he was carried away when the wind started blowing. His gaze shifted from Jesus, and this almost led to his destruction.

As believers, we will encounter different winds of life. There will be whirlwind that will want to shake our faith, but Jesus has given us the victory. He said in the world we shall encounter different tribulation, but we should be of good cheer for He has conquered the world.

There may be times you feel that life is becoming to hard even as you follow Jesus. This isn’t the time to shift your gaze away from Christ. Stick with Him to the end. Never shift your gaze from Him. Never doubt Him. Even with the presence of trouble, fix your heart upon the Lord.

Jesus has given us victory but it’s left for us to look up to Him and not allow the cares of this world to take our gaze away from Him.
